(5 Apr. 05) As the RCARO entered into full operation beyond the interim period of 3 years, a Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) was constituted at the 27th Meeting of National RCA Representatives (NRM) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during 4-8 April 2005. The SAC was substituted the previous RCARO interim Advisory Committee (AC). Elected members of the SAC by the NRM are the three RCA Chair countries (the immediate past RCA Chair, the current RCA Chair and the immediate next RCA Chair: in this case PAK, MAL and THA) plus three designated members, making a total of six members. The designated members are the National RCA Representative of the host country of RCARO (Korea), the previous AC Chair country (at this time, AUL) and the IAEA/RCA Coordinator.
