(3 Dec. 07) RCARO made a presentation on IAEA/RCA and RCARO Progrmames with emphasis on the RCA medium term strategy at an IAEA/RCA Regional Training Meeting to establish an Asian Region ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) network that was held within the framework of RCA Radiation Protection (RP) project on 3 December 2007 for three working days at KINS (Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety) in Daejeon. The presentation was made in order to increase awareness of RCA to the RCA stakeholders in the field of Radiation Protection. A total 17 experts participated in the meeting including Mr David Wood (ANSTO), Project Lead Country Coordinator of RCA Radiation Protection project and Mr P. Deboodt, the IAEA Technical Officer.

The meeting intended to concrete the establishment of ALARA network among the RCA Member States as an effort to support Member States' infrastructure of radiation protection endeavors. The RCA Radiation Protection project is and closure project after 20 years of contribution. The meeting will also seek future direction of radiation protection after the graduation of the current scheme.
