Dear National RCA Representatives,

Upon approval of the 50th GCM on the Research Project Theme (RPT) for a new RCA Research Project, this is to invite the RCA Government Parties to participate in the research related to ‘Closing the Gap in Radiotherapy Access in RCA Government Parties’. Detailed information on the RPT and general information on the RCA Research Project (RP) are enclosed as Attachment 1 and 2 respectively.

Research Institutes in the RCA Government Parties have the opportunity to participate in the RCA RP under Research Contracts or Research Agreements. In this connection, it would be much appreciated if the interested research institutes could submit proposals for either Research Contract or Research Agreements to the RCARO through the respective National RCA Representatives by 5 November 2021. The relevant proposal templates are also enclosed as Attachment 3 and 4.

The proposals outlining each country’s contributions to the RPT will be reviewed by the Research Review Committee (RRC). After careful review of the proposals based on their technical merits, compatibility with the RPT and capabilities to carry out the research, the RRC’s findings on project participation will be informed to the GPs in due course.
