Short-Term Training Course on Technical Management and Operation System of Cyclotron The World Council on Isotopes is pleased to offer a Short-Term Training Program on technical management and operation system of Cyclotron. The purpose of this training course is to enable cyclotron operator/engineer/technicians to acquire a technique not available in their home countries. Individuals needing to experience hands-on practice are welcome to apply. Applications are reviewed on the basis of their potential to foster the development of nuclear engineering in their home countries. This program is offered free of charge including financial assistance: Trainees will be provided with tuition fees, travel expenses, and accommodation. Course Period: November 30-December 11, 2015 (2 weeks) Host Organization: World Council on Isotopes Participating Institutes IT Accelerator Engineering Research Center (ITAEC), Sungkyunkwan University Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) Application Process Application should include - CV - Letter of support from the home institute ※ Please fill out the attached application form and send to the WCI Secretariat. Conditions - The applicant must be a specialist in the field of Accelerator. - No more than 1 applicant per country will be considered. - WCI members are prioritized in the selection process. ※ The deadline for submission of application materials is September 30, 2015. Trainee’s Report Each trainee is required to write and deliver a current status of nuclear development of his or her country during the course. Review Process and Notification A committee will evaluate the applications and applicants will be notified of its decision by email within 1 month of the application deadline.
